HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!
Can you believe it is already 2016? CRAZY!

I LOVE the holidays!
I LOVE crafting and making fun new things for decorations such as #frontdoordecor

What do you think of my initial for the front door??? If you are a monogram or initial kind of gal … you will LOVE this too.

AND…the best part about it is you can make it yourself for less than $20.

You can get the big wooden initials at Hobby Lobby for $12.99 but ALWAYS use their coupon to get 40% off (making it less than $8).

Hobby Lobby also carries the MOSSYMAT Peel N Stick product you will need. It is found in the floral area. It is truly the moss but in a peel and stick form. It is messy so make sure you put some newspaper down before you start. It is $9.99 but AGAIN use their coupon ($6.00 with coupon).

Lay your wooden letter on the back side of the peel n stick paper so you can trace around the letter. Make sure you add 1/4 of an inch around the entire letter so you can wrap the moss down the side of the letter. We do not want any wood showing. AND…make sure you turn the letter upside down before you trace so it will be facing the correct way when you want to lay it on the front of the letter. Go ahead and cut it out.
Peel the paper off and lay it moss side down. Carefully lay the letter on top of the sticky side of the moss and make sure it is centered in the middle. Use a glue gun to attach the corners properly. You can even clip the corners slightly where you need to turn the moss down.

Here is my finished product for my friend. She loved mine so much that I made it for her as a gift. I attached a burlap ribbon to hers which looks so cute. I used a wide satin white ribbon for mine. I liked that better for my front door. You can choose whatever type of ribbon you like.

ENJOY! Have fun! Make your front door the best looking front door on the street. OR…what fun gifts to make for your friends!

Thanks for stopping. Hope to see you again soon! MAMA

Energy Bites…..

Yes, that is what I said…ENERGY BITES!
They taste like monster cookies but with none of the bad stuff! You have to try them!

This is it!  This is the answer!

Are there times in the day when you just need a little something? 10am and 2 pm or even a little dessert without the calories?

1 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or m&ms
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix it all together and put in the refrigerator for 1 hour so it is easier to roll into balls. Roll them into 1 inch or just larger balls and put on a cookie sheet. Freeze them overnight. Once frozen toss them in a freezer bag and grab them from the freezer as needed.

There are so many other things you could probably add. I have made these 4 times already and my family LOVES them. Next time I will add some coconut or coconut oil. It will give them another added flavor with all of those great benefits of coconut oil. Why not?

Coconut oil is supposed to give you better brain power! Why would we not add some to our ENERGY BITES? I am in. I don't know about you but I am forgetting more and more things every single day.

Oh…and did I mention that each time I have doubled the recipe? It is a must!

OK….time to get your energy on! Let me know how they taste!

Signing off…MAMA

Hey everyone! Welcome to Monogram Mama's Tips and Tricks.

Today is my first day blogging. I love reading everyone else's blogs and getting great ideas from them and hopefully you will enjoy this Mama's favorite "tips and tricks" too.

Do you love to monogram, personalize and be crafty? Me too.

If everything could have a name or initials on it then everything would be that much prettier and that much more fun. Don't you think?

OK...you may think I am crazy but I am already thinking ahead for holiday gift giving wrapping ideas.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the brown paper bag look and the chalk board look for gift wrapping.

Do you have a ton of brown paper bags laying around? Why not repurpose and reuse? Isn't that everyone's goal these days? So cute and so fun. Top it off with a fun ribbon and add the recipient's name however you want. A stamp, a stencil, freehand, cut out fabric, cut out paper…anything goes! Have fun with it!

OR….get a roll of black matte paper and add their names with a white sharpie or white paint pen. Add a ribbon if you want. Super cute!

Be the talk of the Holiday Party! Your packages will be the fun and creative packages that stand out under the tree. And….they are easier on the pocket book too. No more spending $10 a roll and getting 5 packages wrapped before it is out.

HAPPY HOLIDAY WRAPPING. Let me know how they turn out!
